Bivens actions approved by federal district court in religious liberty lawsuits
A fairly significant development in the world of litigation, as reported by the always interesting Religion Clause law blog: District Court Extends Bivens To Damages Actions For Free Exercise Violations. If such a ruling stands, it would subject the federal government to the same kind of monetary liability for religious liberty violations as the States. Litigators take note!
