God, human culture and divine creativity
That's the theme of this interesting essay by Joe Carter posted over at the Acton Institute online: How God Makes a Pencil. As Carter points out, God's creative power manifests itself through human culture and innovation, not in spite of it. This makes me think back on something that I've long held, namely that Hayek and Thomas Aquinas are not quite so far apart as we might think on first reading them.
