I've done this for eons and never knew it had a name. Or if I ever did hear that name, I forgot. There is scads of information on this subject online and even published commonplace books of famous folks. Who knew?
How I could have missed this is beyond me. I'm addicted to ephemera (which until a few years ago I simply called "paper") and reading journals and letters of other people.

In a real way, this blog is my common place book -- where I record quotes and reflect on things that I have read.
