My political beliefs lean more and more to Anarchy (philosophically understood, meaning abolition of control not whiskered men with bombs) – or to 'unconstitutional' Monarchy ... Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973).

Got to love JRR!
No kidding! The more I read about him, the more I like him. The more I like his ideas. He is a paleo-paleo-con, a distributionist, a conservationist, and a fan of good beer.
One thing I just found out: his grandson Simon Tolkien is a barrister in London who practices criminal law. S.T. has written a book of his own -- a crime novel. Interesting stuff...
